Since its start as a comic hub in Redlands, California, A Shop Called Quest™ (ASCQ) rapidly evolved under the creative direction of KILLTHEGIANT™, expanding from two to three locations within four years and earning multiple Eisner Award nominations.

Partnerships with DC Comics and artist Rafael Grampa resulted in exclusive cover designs, while collaborations with Image Comics brought in authors like Brian K. Vaughan for exclusive events. ASCQ’s influence continued to grow through strategic partnerships.

ASCQ’s collaboration with Tokidoki introduced a range of Japanese-inspired lifestyle products, while ASCQ also featured over 100 different enamel pin makers, transforming its multiple locations into hubs of artistic activity and leading to successful maker expos and art shows sponsored by brands like Pabst Blue Ribbon.
An AD created in house for the exclusive collaboration between ASCQ x Tokidoki. All Pins and packaging were produced and designed by KILLTHEGIANT™ on behalf of both entities.
ASCQ quickly shown its ability to change the pop culture marketplace with the addition of over 100 different enamel pin based makers and brands in the span of less than two years. Many of these brands are now being carried by the thousands with retailers worldwide. Most of which were never carried in any store setting previously. This action turned our DTLA location into a literal hub of artist activity, leading into some incredible Maker expo’s and Art shows sponsored by: Pabst Blue Ribbon, Adult Swim, Image Comics and more.
ASCQ became a strong force within the “Pin Game” with exclusive pieces from Artists like; Sket One and Brucey Parker! All packaging and production done by KILLTHEGIANT™
Over 100 different brands / makers were introduced to a proper marketplace during our time with a Shop Called Quest™. From England, Australia and America; we carried ‘em all.

Pabst Blue Ribbon and ASCQ quickly joined forces when both of them realized they love good times, beer and dope art. It was a match made in beer can heaven with artists such as Wizard Skull, Benjie Escobar, DELADESO, Jim Mahfood and so many more!
Hosted over 100 different artists in all the solo and group art shows we held: Pulled artists from England, Japan, Australia and Vietnam. As well as local natives and transplants to the LA scene. Bloodygums: The art collective was a huge part of the unification of the LA Art Scene.
