GAME OVER: Augies Coffee™ x Shop Called Quest™ Collaboration.
Augies Coffee™ was a coffee powerhouse born in Redlands in 2006 and unfortunately closed its doors in mid 2020.
In late 2019; a Shop Called Quest™ along side Chicago artist Nerdboy12 joined forces with Augie’s to bring a special custom blend of coffee (Ethically sourced in ethiopia.) and an exclusive collectors pin set. a strategy that called back to saturday morning cereals and the prize in the box strategy which was used to great effect. The collaborative coffee bags and pins sold out in 4 hours.

The packaging of the bag itself was by far the strongest pull for the quick sell out. Using packaging techniques involving nostalgia based properties, transparencies, pattern and iconic imagery of the Augie’s Coffee brand itself.
The pins produced also showed a variety of the latest execution choices within modern pin production; we produced soft-enamel, hard enamel w/ screen prints, and digital printed pieces for the collection.
